A successful rebrand starts with a clear brand strategy and vision. Before diving into visuals, I defined Telesign’s personality, strategy, values, and archetypes to create a strong foundation.
Everyday internet users need fraud prevention more than they realize. Telesign’s customers are businesses, but its impact is felt by their users. Instead of speaking only to businesses, we let the positive effects on end users drive the brand’s storytelling. This approach shaped a multi-touch journey to attract, engage, and convert customers.
To make a complex industry relatable, I focused on human impact—crafting a mission that inspired employees and resonated with buyers: “We exist to make the digital world a more trustworthy place for everyone.” This inclusive, reassuring statement became Telesign’s North Star, addressing the universal need for certainty in an unpredictable world. For the Telesign voice, I worked with the content team to craft a trustworthy, committed, and authentic tone that resonated through the company’s growing, rich library of resources.
For the visual identity, I redesigned the logo, blending symbols of identity, continuity, and trust to reflect Telesign’s mission.
I built the brand palette around indigo, a color that provides the calming assurance that customers’ identities are safe in Telesign’s hands while also conveying innovation in keeping customer information secure.
To enhance engagement, I led the creative direction of illustrations, icons, and supergraphics that added depth and curiosity across the website, sales tools, and brand collateral. Motion and design elements subtly reinforced themes of security and connection, appearing in event booths, explainer videos, and digital assets.
For brand video and photography, we captured custom, inclusive imagery that showcased end users enjoying life free from the stress of potential harm, reinforcing the trust and certainty Telesign provides.
Following our 2022 rebrand, Telesign achieved nine-figure revenue growth, taking market share from major competitors. The refreshed brand sparked industry buzz, with Telesign becoming a regular topic in competitor meetings—driven by compelling content and impressive market gains.
